Two of my personal goals for working at the Dallas Youth Garden this summer are: to learn how to maintain a garden well and how to get the most produce.

My favorite vegetable is: pumpkin
My least favorite garden task is: weeding
My most favorite garden task is: harvesting
I think a leader is: someone you can look up to and cares about everyone's opinion.
My worst leadership skill or trait is: I tend to be stobern
My best leadership skill or trait is: I like to hear everyone's opinion on big decisions or suggestions

My garden did or did/not match my plan and why: it did not match because we had no sweet peppers left.
My favorite vegetable to plant was: hot peppers

Leadership Project:
Problem: which one will grow better.
Solution: one of them will produce and grow better or faster than the other
Test/Activity: weighing all the peppers and seeing wich row produces more as well as seeing wich one produces the hottest peppers.
Results: the one with the straw seems to produce more peppers and the one with tarp produced bigger plants.
Communication: tells the results of which material works better and which produces the best results.

problem: letting people know about the garden
solution: talking to the people that come by the booth
results: talked to two people but they had already heard about the youth garden, not too many people

leadership skill: confidence and communication
leadership project:
Problem: where will the tomatoes grow better in sunlight or shade.
solution: guin toke the same kind of tomato plants and put them in the shade I took mine and put them in the sun.
results: the tomatoes took long enough to grow and mine were big and full of tomatoes but had been a little bleached out. when guin's was just getting flowers and were get ing taller. Communication: it tells us that the tomatoes get more fruit if in sun light but need parshal shade.
